About Us

Brighter Futures is an independent Counselling and Psychotherapeutic Practice, based in Plymouth. The principal of Brighter Futures is Danny Biscombe who has worked in the field of counselling and therapy for over ten years, specialising in behaviour modification and family violence. 

Danny also uses a consortium of expertise to meet the requirements of clients, particularly when the workload demands additional expert practitioners, especially when completing commissioned work involving short and long term contracts on behalf of agencies, services and companies. 

We work ethically and safely, with a mutli-agency approach, working within and adhering to, the Codes of Practice set by the profession.

The principal Danny Biscombe is an individual member of:

• The British Association of Counsellors and Psychotherapists (BACP)

• Respect (UK membership association for domestic violence perpetrator programmes and associated support services)

• Counselling for Children & Young People Member (CCYP through BACP)

• Association for Independent Practitioners (AIP through BACP)

• BACP Healthcare (Formerly Faculty of Healthcare Counselling & Psychotherapy)

All our practitioners receive their own regular professional supervision and have their own Public Indemnity and Liability insurance. All our practitioners have had an enhanced Criminal Records Bureaux (CRB) check.
